we have a cypher section for random bars - Open Mic is more for complete written pieces/songs than anything and people generally give each other feedback in this section of the site and don't necessarily battle here...but there's always dudes in the cypher section doing things from "diss the person above you" to just regular rhyming. and then there's a free range section where you use the "call outs" forum to call out specific battlers, and you set up a match with a "poll" in the Front Lines for it to count against your record. Format is usually

1. Call out your opponent and set rules like a line limit/wait for them to accept

2. Set up a battle "with a poll" using your exact account names (or it won't count) and drop your verses

3. then people will show up to vote for who they think won or lost and the first to 5 votes gets a W on their website record (we have a battle hack system that displays our records in our profiles here). Front Lines is located here and the "call out" forum is inside of it -
