Bad Dream

[Da Punisher]

Before I had went to sleep I should have said my prayers because.......................I had a dream like this:

As I was leaning down looking at my reflection in the sink
A dilapidated hand burst forth from the sink & I couldn’t blink
It wrapped its cold dead fingers around my throat like paper on ink
I fell down for air as the room twisted into the gates of hell
The hand twirled into a demon that spoke in tongue & wore a veil
The dead soul told me to move fast before my face peel
But I already felt the flames conceal my last feeling of life
The darkness sheltered me to make it easy for sin to be my wife
No light showed as the ground was coated in blood and bone
Stay strong ran in my head but I felt like this was home
I thought the path I was on was fine cause I was alone
Iridescent lights was the sign of my superior side fighting back
But I lack the strength into powering a comeback & end this act
I stacked the pain of the fire and ripped up my contract
And left the place of evil earlier than the devil could make contact


A wise man had told me this before I had this dream..........................


The painful memory will choke the breath out of me
This always happen when a man steals form God's tree
The vision of the gates of death should make sin be all right
A lost mind that lay in drain pipe without any tools in site
And that is why most dreams will make you see the real & fake
But faith is the only way you could go upstairs straight

The next night I said this prayer.......................

Heavenly Father
Forgive all my sins
I want to change
But where to begin
Give me the strength
To resist the wild desire
Help me get away
From the hell gates fire
Please Lord, bless my family & future
You are the truth
Why lie's come from Lucifer
Take me now into your eyes
And if I don't wake up
Let me fly only in your sky



Amen.........

I honestly wasn't expecting this from you. The saying is true "You can't judge a book by it's cover". Anyways, good job. I think your wordplay was the best here. Your vocab is good. Structure was good, however it seems like you were trying to forces some words to rhyme. Like I said, nice job.

This was unexpected, an ok verse nothing too special though
your wordplay that you used in this piece was nice
as was the vocab, structure was on point throughout the whole piece
but some words dont really rhyme, and it looks like you forced them to
overall an ok peice, keep writing.

Nice peice...this is the best work i've seen from you. you definately have elevated. i noticed you fixed up your strucutre and flow. that made it a good read. you upped your vocab and increased the imagery throughout so i had a vivid image of what was going on. wordplay was good. and overall this was well written peice. i liked it.
