Thread: Bush was wired for the debate?

Back to the original question.......I have a hard time beliving he was wired...simply becuz he got murdered in my opinion. Kerry won both of them. So if he was wired u'd think he'd be able to do a better job.

As for Micheal Moore's movie....it was funny actualy lol I mean he's one sided and he twists shit so far just to prove his point of view. But still he brought up SOME good points and questions. The problem is...just how some people belive EVERYTHING the media says and Bush says.....others belive EVERYTHING the anti-bush and the left wing people say. its either pro-bush propaganda or anti-bush propaganda...its hard to find the real shit and the truth nowdays.

Word, mensch. That's what I'm saying. Maybe in the second debate, Bush actually held his own. But everyone agrees what a piss poor job Bush did in the first debate.

I only caught the fourth quarter of the debate, unfortunetly.

    But from what I've seen...

All he talked about mostly was his No Child Left Behind Act. And quite frankly, everything he's said is complete bullshit. It doesn't help anyone, it has only hurted people. (If you don't meet the new standards they set up, they either change your score so you do or expell you.)

He advocated racism but being against quotas. Worse still he said "I agree with my opponent, I don't believe in quotas." Yet Kerry did not say that. He said he live in a time where racism still exists, and affirmitive action is still regretably needed to counteract it. (If I was Kerry, I would have big upped the MLK letters.)

Bush also appeared to be heavily sedated. And Kerry seemed a bit tired as well. But not with a donut glaized pot head look.

Also, Kerry complimented Bush a few times. That's always a plus in the people's eyes.

I can't say who won or loss. But from what I've seen, Bush was like always in someone else's reality. And if he truly believed it's cool for everyone to believe in their own things, he wouldn't force his views on us.

Also, Bush knows jack shit about military.

Well, Kerry is for affirmative action. But he adds "regretably." This is a safe path. A person who is against racism is for affirmative action since it allows colored folk into college. However, someone who is truly against racism is against affirmative action since you should be based on content of character, not color of skin. Basicly, Kerry's making out that the latter is the best path, but America is not capable of walking down it.

Bush however is against quotas. This might seem like he's truly against racism. But the fact is, Kerry is right. Folks are going to see someone's name is "Shakweela Jackson" or some scheisse, and that person is going to get denied college, or housing, or a job. Hence, the need for affirmative action. There is also Bush's endorsements of well known racists, but that is arguable at best and irrelevant to the debate.

What I'd like to know is the specifics. Why exactly did Bush win? (I'm assuming it's something I missed, and thus want to know more.)

I actually fell asleep watchin it but from the first half it seemed like Bush was getting his ass kicked. He was defensive and childish he did his little scoff every 2 minutes but lost on every point I saw.

Yea you should be based on your charactor, not your skin color, but at the same time America needs to undue centuries of prejudice, and help the current blacks get out of the hole their ancestors were forced into. If Bush was racist, he would not have the blackest cabinet ever. Maybe Bush did lose, but I thought he was working it. But then again, I only listened on radio, so I didn't see body language.

And THAT is the biggest reason nobody can call Bush a racist and get a way with it.
