Thread: Alright Opey

    Alright Opey

I got the voice master pre, and everything, and I get it so that when I talk into the mic the pre amp pics it up, and I hear it out of the speakers. But when I press the record button in Adobe Audition, it doesn't pic up anything.

    What did I do wrong?

the preamp doesnt change the way you're equipment is set up. i dont see how it work now. all you're doing is putting a preamp between your mic and line in jack. how did u set it up and what sound card do you have?

I got the soundcard that came with the Emu 1820. So does that mean that I connect the 1820 soundcard directly to the pre ?

ok it will be a little different then. u need to plug the preamp into an open line in port on the back of the 1820. then you need to open your dsp mixer and add a new channel selecting that input as the source. then set up a new ASIO channel with the new channel you just set up as the source. the problem is your ASIO driver that's set up in your multitrack right now is pointing to the mic input on the front of the 1820. all this is in your manual and in the tutorials on the emu website.
