beatmaker
i just make beats
thats all i want to do
i dont want to direct a bitches vocals i dont want to teach rappers how to spit double time or which adlibs to use
i jus wanna
make beats
get paid
go home
my co producer (despite me not even being a producer) does all the directional work/writing.
im a producer... lol, i feel like i have to have some sort of control over the direction of the track when i make it. Especially when it's being done in my studio.
I dont feel comfortable anymore just letting someone "GO" over one of my beats unless i trust in there talent as an artist.
I take up my producer-like tendencies more when I'm doing a RnB joint though. Cuz producing a RnB track is like walking on egg shells.
Both
im a beat maker

So being just beatmaker would keep me more on the sidelines...and well id rather play ..
ya catch me.
oh, and define ... walking on eggshells for me.
:)
i dont give a mother fuck i jus want to get the joint sold
how ever, when it comes to shit like rnb u actually HAVE to produce the joint
u can jus send out an rnb beat cd lol
^lmao... I even like control over my hip hop shit... which is why I mainly fuck with a small group of people until lately... it's weird yo...
lol, and for the people saying "both"... you consider yourself a producer then.
cuz a beatmaker cannot be a producer, but a producer can make beats.
i think the people that said both dont know what the difference is..... therefore probably aint producers
theyre "weak makers" not beat makers ;)
yea, but they could also be producing for people, and think that's what they're supposed to do as beatmakers.Quote:

I honestly don't know any people who are just beatmakers. I mean, your either a producer or your not. You can't be half a producer who only makes a beat, then sells it to an aritst, who in turn gives it to another producer to help "direct" the song. It dosen't make sense. I can't think of a single example where it has happened.
Or maybe I just misunderstood what Kris was asking.
